NSP Post Matric Scholarship Amount, Eligibility, Last Date

Srinagar: The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India provides financial assistance to ST students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education. The scholarship is available for studies in India only and provides for the following:

  • Maintenance allowance
  • Reimbursement of compulsory non-refundable fees
  • Study tour charges
  • Thesis typing/printing charges for research scholars
  • Book allowance for students pursuing correspondence courses
  • Book bank facility for specified courses
  • Additional allowances for students with disabilities

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Belong to ST community and be permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir
  • Have secured admission in a government/private higher secondary school/college/university or any other higher educational institution recognized by the Government/UGC/competent accreditation authority nsp
  • Have not received any other scholarship for the same stage of education

Scholarships are paid through DBT mode directly into the bank account of the student. 30% of the scholarship amount is earmarked for girl ST students. Scholarships can be renewed annually but only for the same stage of education.

The scheme aims to increase accessibility and affordability of higher education for ST students in Jammu and Kashmir and support them in completing their education.
